Messer Financial Group was founded by independent insurance agents Bill Rice and Roy Messer in 2002. Today, Messer Financial Group is a field marketing organization that partners with more than 18,000 independent insurance agents across over 40 states, providing insurance products, technology, training, and business support.
Messer Financial Group has been recognized by the Charlotte Business Journal on multiple occasions. The company was named the largest independent insurance agency in Charlotte every year from 2013 through 2021. It has also received recognition from leading insurance carriers for its performance and service. BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina and BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina both recognized the group as the top agency serving the Medicare market.
Additional industry honors further highlight the group’s performance across multiple insurance sectors. The company has received the American Health Underwriters Agency of the Year award, earned membership in the HumanaOne Leaders Club, and served on the UnitedHealthOne FMO Advisory group.
